From the old block of Blaufrankisch ("old vine" Lemberger) at the renowned Champoux Vineyard. Planting at this site began in 1972 and it is listed as one of the top 10 vineyards in Washington. The wine shows flavors and aromas of black cherry, cedar, anise, and herbs de provence. It has wonderfully pronounced acid, lightly integrated tannins, and a fruit forward finish. Will pair well with roasted meats, pastas, and pizza. 125 cases produced. $22

This year's fruit is entirely sourced from Stone Tree Vineyard and aged 3 years in both French and American Oak, 1/3 new. It shows beautifully intense aromatics and flavors of black cherry, raspberry and toasted pecans, all wrapped with chalky tannins and a long, luxurious fruit finish.
